The Story:
The name "Upland" is derived from two distinct ecoregions of Alberta known as the Western Uplands. The smaller, southern area extends into the foothills, and the larger, northern part crosses into British Columbia with an extension into the Peace River area. The region is a transition between the boreal forests and Rocky Mountains, and is home to moose, blackbear, beaver, and wolf.
